FAQ's

Q: I feel a little nervous about getting started.  I have never done anything like this before.

A: Many new clients feel that way - it's completely normal. What we find is after you meet us, you feel exceptionally comfortable with our staff and training approach. We are guided by a simple passion for helping people - we thrive by educating clients and designing programs that take them well beyond their goals, beyond what they ever thought was possible. We're here to support you and bring out your best health, fitness and body. That's our promise and commitment to you.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Wear what you’re comfortable wearing. Most clients train in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Some wear sweats. It doesn't matter as long as you feel comfortable.

Q: Can my spouse, children or friend train with me too?

A: Without a doubt!  In fact, we encourage it. Getting your friends and family involved is a great way to develop a support network and will help everyone look and feel great!

Q: Are there going to be a lot of other people in the studio while I’m training?

A: During your personal training session there will never be more than a handful of people working out simultaneously. Therefore you are not waiting for equipment or having other people staring at you during your session. Our goal is to make you feel 100% comfortable here at Flex One Trinity.  Everyone, from the trainers to the clients has fun, supports each other and is very courteous.

Q: Will strength training make me look like a body builder?

A: If you're looking to become a body builder, we'll refer you to a trainer who specializes in physique contest preparation.  Otherwise we’ll be training you to be physically fit and healthy, to lose weight, get in shape and to enhance energy & vitality. You will build some lean, toned muscle as you train, and your body will change positively as a result.

Q: Can I come in anytime I want?

A: All training sessions are by appointment and we’re available when you’re available. At your consultation, we'll set up a regular meeting time that's convenient for you. With our approach, you’ll make sure you get to your workouts. Chances are if you put it off, you won’t do it, continuing your frustration with reaching your health & fitness goals.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Private personal training prices can range per session, depending on the package you purchase (more sessions = lower rate). If you add a spouse, child or friend to your session the cost is significantly lower per person. Ask yourself what taking charge of your health, energy & vitality and getting into great shape is worth to you?  Most people find that in just 3-6 one-hour sessions with a well regarded  personal training team they learn more about proper nutrition and exercise than they have by reading books, watching late-night infomercials or exercising on their own. Just ask our clients, they will tell you Flex One Trinity has been one of the most important investments they have ever made.

Q: How are you different from a trainer at a chain gym like Bally's, Gold's Gym, Lifestyle’s or even an establishment like Curves or Fitness Together?

A: First and foremost, we are a private studio that is privately owned - huge crowds are not a part of Flex One Trinity. We have no alliances to huge corporate gyms, and we work for our clients only. Unfortunately, many corporate trainers are paid bonuses and are under a lot of pressure to sell clients supplements and other things they may not need. Also, many corporate gyms don't require trainers to have a top certification (We recommend that you always ask trainers what certifications they hold, there is no reason to keep it secret if they are certified by a reputable organization!)  Their job is to keep you coming in, whether you're making progress or not, and their workout routines are designed for the masses. We design each program and nutritional regimen from scratch, based on the individual's needs and current fitness level.

Q: Can you help me excel at my sport?

A:YES! Each program is different based on the sport you wish to compete in or your individual goals. We design programs that will help you excel in your chosen sport, by increasing speed, endurance, flexibility, quickness, balance, and agility. We have all of the training gear necessary and a very in-depth grasp of sport specific training methodologies.

Q: Who uses a personal trainer?

A: The role of the personal trainer is changing. It used to be that celebrities and wealthy individuals were the only people that used personal trainers. The stereotype of a personal trainer used to be that of a big body builder. Today the personal trainer is a highly skilled professional that has been educated and certified to work with various types of clients. Children as young as 7 years old, 80 year old men and women, obese adults, athletes, cancer recovery patients, and adults with diseases all benefit from working with personal trainers. Clients are using personal trainers to: decrease body fat, increase weight gain, improve flexibility, improve posture, alleviate stress, increase energy, rehab an injury, and improve quickness, general health benefits, and cancer recovery.

Q: How will my trainer know what program is right for me?

A: Prior to getting started, our personal trainers will meet with you for a free consultation. During this time, our personal trainers will ask you questions about your fitness goals, past history with exercise, etc. to get an idea of what type of program is right for you.  All of our personal training programs are specifically tailored to meet each client's specific goals.
